What do I need to know in order to build a home in Zachary?

When can I get an inspection?
Generally, if you call in ready for your inspection prior to 2:00pm, you will receive an inspection on the same day.  Anything called in after 2:00pm will be done the following morning.

The Inspections office is open from 7:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday.

 

What codes does the City of Zachary enforce?

The State of Louisiana has mandated statewide enforcement of the codes with amendments, as listed in the State Uniform Construction Code.  As of January 1, 2011 those codes are the 2009 International Building Code, 2009 International Existing Building Code, 2009 International Residential Code, 2009 International Mechanical Code, 2000 Louisiana State Plumbing Code, and the 2008 National Electrical Code.
