The City of Zachary is in the process of defining our growth through the guide lines of a Comprehensive Plan. This plan will have many elements to give our citizens and developers a clear vision of just what we want Zachary to look like as we grow. This process is expected to take approximately 16 to 18 months. A special group of Zachary residents from across the city make up a 16 member “Citizens’ Delegation” which will work very closely with the chosen firm of Kendig Keast Collaborative. During this process citizens and interested individuals are encouraged to get involved with comments and visions of Zachary as the plan takes form. Once a Interim Land Development Code is adopted, then we will lift the suspension that was placed on new subdivision development and multifamily housing. As the different chapters and maps are development they will be posted for your review and comments. Please help us as we leave this legacy for those who follow. Together we will work with a single purpose as stated in our slogan of “Honoring our heritage …Planning our Future.”
