New event to feature live music, food trucks and award-winning fireworks
The Developers of Americana and the City of Zachary are teaming up to host the first annual Fourth of July Jubilee on the grounds of Americana located on Mt. Pleasant Boulevard.
Public parking areas will open at 4:00 and the event, which will start at 5:30 pm, will feature live music, food trucks, restaurants, children’s activities and a fireworks display at 9:00 p.m.
“This will absolutely rival the Fourth of July celebration held every year in downtown Baton Rouge,” said Zachary Mayor David Amrhein. “Americana is a great location to host this type of event and we are proud to start what we hope is a longstanding tradition for our great city.”
The celebration will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display by the same fireworks designer who performs the Fireworks on the Mississippi event hosted annually by the Manship family and WBRZ in downtown Baton Rouge.
“This is a perfect event for Zachary and Americana,” said John Engquist, co-developer of Americana. “We want to create an event that Zachary residents can look forward to every year and call their own.”
“The Jubilee will be second to none when it comes to entertainment and fireworks,” said Charles Landry, co-developer of Americana. “This event will be the best kept secret in Zachary. We look forward to announcing more exciting details for this event in the coming weeks.”
