The Zachary Community Farmer’s Market is an open-air market, comprised of a group of area farmers selling fresh produce each Saturday in Downtown Zachary behind Zachary City Hall at the HugYourPeople Park at Lee Street @ Virginia Street, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Over 60 local vendors including craftspeople make a visit to the market on Saturdays to sell handmade crafts,  showcasing local artists and craftsmanship and fresh produce. On the second Saturday of each month, the Zachary Cars and Coffee Club offer an open car show displaying vintage cars, trucks, and motorcycles. If you are interested in showing your classic car, this group encourages you to come out and showcase.

The Zachary Branch Library is hosting a Kids Orchestra Event on Saturday, May 4th, 11 a.m.

Collect new musical skills! Discover new library books! Learn new dance steps! Kids’ Orchestra invites children, ages 5-11, to an experiential program that combines library books with music education. Each month, children will explore a theme as they learn about an instrument, sing a song, explore a dance, and play a game – all inspired by a book in the East Baton Rouge Parish Library's collection. Nature Night Hike and Campfire – BREC’s Zachary Community Park – Friday, May 10, 2024 at 7 p.m.

Ever wonder what goes on in Conservation Areas after the sun goes down? Join BREC’s Conservation staff and learn about local nighttime ecology and nocturnal animals while you creep through the woods on a blacked-out night hike. And no Night Hike would we complete without time around the campfire and a s’more! Enjoy this great way to get the family out after the daytime heat.

Preregistration is required and spaces are limited. Children must be registered and accompanied by a registered adult.

The Zachary Youth Park is offering Coed Softball and Senior Men’s Softball.
Registration is now open.
The Coed Softball is for teams only and registration fee is $300.
The Senior Men’s League is for men ages 40 and up. The registration fee is $50. This will be a drafted league.
