City of Zachary Announces Holiday Closures 2023

Thanksgiving Day is an official City of Zachary holiday and will be celebrated on Thursday, November 23, 2023. All City of Zachary offices will be closed on this day.

Solid waste collection (garbage and recycling) in the City of Zachary will not be made on Thursday, November 23, under their contract with Waste Management. Garbage and recycling, usually collected on Thursday, will be collected on the following day, Friday, November 24. If your regular collection day is Friday, Waste Management will collect garbage and recycling the next day, on Saturday, November 25.

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, Waste Depot will collect all bulky items throughout the city on Monday, November 20. Normal routes will return as scheduled in December.
