Gordon “P-Wee” LeBlanc
Gordon “P-Wee” LeBlanc serves as the Zachary Youth Park Director, where he oversees the sports complex’s daily operations, manages projects and budgets, maintains the game fields, and coordinates youth recreational leagues and tournaments held at the park.
Gordon has dedicated much of his life to youth sports in Zachary. He coached Little League Baseball for 15 years, sharing his love of the game with countless young athletes at Zachary Youth Park. For more than 20 years, he has also volunteered with Zachary Broncos Football, assisting referees and coaches with the chains and helping with game-day preparations.
Gordon is married to Diane, and together they have five children: Jamie Whittle Dillon, Richard Whittle, Jonathon Whittle, Cade LeBlanc, and Casey LeBlanc Dufrene. They are also the proud grandparents of three granddaughters: Olivia James Dillon, Stella Ray Dufrene, and Rosie LeBlanc Dufrene.
All five of Gordon and Diane’s children grew up playing baseball or softball at Zachary Youth Park, creating cherished memories on the very fields that Gordon has dedicated so much of his life to serving. For Gordon, the park is more than a sports complex—it is a place where generations of Zachary families have grown, competed, made friendships, and created lasting memories.
Experience the Excitement of Baseball in Zachary
Who doesn’t love a good baseball game? As you drive through the park entrance, you can’t help but feel the excitement and pride of our very own Zachary Bronco, nestled beside the beautiful Society Butterfly Garden. From the youngest T-ball players, just 4 and 5 years old, to the thrilling matchups of our ZHS Varsity Baseball and Softball teams—and everyone in between—these fields are alive with energy and passion.
Picture yourself in the stands, enjoying a plate of nachos, sipping a cold drink, or cooling off with a snow cone as the crack of the bat fills the air. Generations of players and families have made memories here, whether it’s during Senior Men’s League games, spirited Coed matchups, or intense tournament weekends. These tournaments bring the excitement to another level, drawing teams and families from across the country. It’s estimated that 1,500 to 2,000 players and spectators visit Zachary for these events, fueling our community with energy nearly year-round.
Behind the scenes, it takes a true team effort to keep the park in top shape for every game. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to manicure all nine fields to perfection, clean and prep dugouts, stock concession stands, ensure spotless restrooms, maintain parking lots, and keep the lights shining bright for those evening games. Many of our staff grew up here—playing on these very fields, cheering in the stands, and now giving back to the place that shaped them. This park isn’t just a facility; it’s a part of who we are.
We take immense pride in providing the best experience possible for players and fans alike. Whether you’re here for a game, a tournament, or simply to soak in the atmosphere, we hope you enjoy every moment. Let’s keep the tradition alive and continue making this park the best it can be—together.
