Have you ever dreamed of soaring high above Zachary in a hot air balloon?
🎈 Now, you have the opportunity to make that dream come true while helping the Zachary Food Pantry, Inc.
The City of Zachary and the Zachary Really Hot Air Balloon Festival are partnering with the Zachary Food Pantry for “Pack the Pantry,” a community food drive designed to help replenish the Pantry’s shelves during a time of critical shortages.
From now through the Zachary Really Hot Air Balloon Festival on August 14 and 15, residents are encouraged to donate THREE non-perishable food items for a chance to win an unforgettable Hot Air Balloon Ride over Zachary!
HOW TO ENTER
Simply donate three non-perishable food items at either of the following locations:

Look for the Zachary Food Pantry donation barrel.

🎈 Bring your donations directly to the Pack the Pantry Trailer at the Zachary Really Hot Air Balloon Festival on August 14 and 15.

The winner will be drawn and announced Friday night on stage and will be notified that their hot air balloon ride will take place Saturday morning.
🎈 Saturday Night Drawing – Sponsored by the Zachary Really Hot Air Balloon Festival
A second winner will be drawn and announced Saturday night. The winner will be able to schedule their hot air balloon ride after the festival on a date of their choice.
This is more than a chance to experience the breathtaking view of Zachary from above—it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful difference for local families who depend on the Zachary Food Pantry.

The Zachary Community Farmer’s Market is an open-air market, comprised of a group of area farmers selling fresh produce each Saturday in Downtown Zachary behind Zachary City Hall at the HugYourPeople Park at Lee Street @ Virginia Street, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Over 60 local vendors including craftspeople make a visit to the market on Saturdays to sell handmade crafts, showcasing local artists and craftsmanship and fresh produce. On the second Saturday of each month, the Zachary Cars and Coffee Club offer an open car show displaying vintage cars, trucks, and motorcycles. If you are interested in showing your classic car, this group encourages you to come out and showcase.
The Zachary Men's Club invites all Zachary public school students in kindergarten through high school to its annual Back-to-School Extravaganza on Saturday, August 8!
Students will receive:
- A school logo T-shirt
- School supplies (while supplies last)
In addition, Southeast Community Health Systems of Zachary will be on-site providing, for students with proof of insurance:
- Required back-to-school vaccinations
- Sports physicals
- Blood pressure screenings
- HIV and other health screenings
This community event is made possible through the support of more than 30 local businesses, organizations, and agencies, including Bank of Zachary, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. – Baker-Zachary Alumnae Chapter, Edward Jones–Thomas Scott, Guaranty Bank, Landmark Bank, Ozark Insurance, the Zachary Fire Department, the Zachary Police Department, and many other generous community partners.
