ZCL Chasing Santa 5K

Chase Santa through the streets of Zachary and win a special prize if you catch him!

Hot cocoa and cookies will be served after the race! All runners who register by Dec. 1 will receive at-shirt. Kids 1/2-mile finishers will receive a toy from Santa’s bag. The 5K is a chip timed event. Finishers will receive a Christmas ornament medal. 5K runners may run the 1/2 Mile run for no extra fee. Strollers are welcome. The race starts and ends at Zachary High School, in front of the main building. Join the fun with a warmup at 8:15am and the National Anthem at 8:25am. This family friendly 5K and 1/2 Mile Kids Run will raise funds for the Zachary Charity League. All race proceeds go towards scholarships, teacher grants and Snack Packs for Kids, which provides healthy snacks over the weekend for children who come from food insecure homes. The race route passes by five of our seven schools, which is the heart of our league. Learn more about us at zacharycharityleague.org.

Events: 5K and 1/2 Mile Kids Run
Start times: 1/2 Mile at 8:30am, 5k at 9:00am
- 5k participants have one hour to complete the race. Race route closes at 10:00am and will open to traffic
Registration period and pricing:
- 5K: $30 early bird until November 10, November 10 - December 12: $35, Race day: $45
- 1/2 Mile Kids Run: $15 until November 10, November 10 - December 12: $20, Race day: $25

Packet pickup:

Thursday, Dec 11 from 5-7pm @ 4422 Main Street, Zachary LA and Friday, Dec 12 from 5-7 pm @ 4422 Main Street, Zachary LA.

Race day registration (online only) and packet pickup 7:30-8:15am.
