The City of Zachary is pleased to announce that the July 2025 Public Review Draft of the updated Comprehensive Master Plan, along with the updated Future Land Use Map, is now available for public review and comment.

 This draft plan presents a shared vision for the City’s future, addressing key priorities, including:

• Future growth and development
• Transportation and infrastructure improvements
• Economic development and downtown revitalization
• Housing and neighborhood planning
• Parks, recreation, and resilience strategies

How to Participate‍

Residents, business owners, and community stakeholders are encouraged to view and download the draft plan and map by visiting the City’s website. Public input is essential to ensure the plan reflects the community’s needs and aspirations. Feedback, questions, and suggestions can be submitted online or in person.

Next Steps

Representatives from Villavaso & Associates (V&A)will present the draft plan at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for August 4, 2025. The presentation will include an overview of the plan, an opportunity for questions, and time for public comments.

Community members are also welcome to visit the City of Zachary Planning & Zoning Department at any time prior to the meeting to discuss the draft in more detail.
