⚠️ Weather Alert – City of Zachary ⚠️
As the system in the Gulf continues to intensify and move toward landfall, our area is expected to experience periods of heavy rain and possible high winds over the next several days.
As storm conditions impact our area, please take the following precautions:
• Clear debris from storm drains near your home to help reduce flooding
• Slow down on wet roads and avoid any flooded areas
• Watch for debris and low-hanging tree limbs
• Report any hazards you come across
• Stay alert for law enforcement and first responders as they work to clear roadways and assist motorists

The City is closely monitoring conditions and will continue to provide updates to keep you informed. Your safety is our top priority.
🪣 Sandbag Information:
• Sandbags are currently available at Doyles Bayou Park (7801 Port Hudson-Pride Road) for all East Baton Rouge Parish residents. Please use the Plank Road → W.J. Wicker → Port Hudson-Pride Road detour to access the site.
• Beginning tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., sandbags will also be available at Zachary Youth Park (1650 Mt. Pleasant Road) for residents within the City of Zachary.
– Limit: 6 bags per household
– Please bring your own shovel
– Assistance will be available for elderly residents or those unable to shovel
