City of Zachary Encourages Recycling

City of Zachary Public Works representative Twila Guerin visited Zachary Elementary School 4th Graders and delivered educational recycling coloring books, pencils, and recycled wooden rulers for each student. Early exposure makes recycling as habitual as putting garbage in the trash can. Homes that don't recycle are encouraged to start. Waste Management provides recycling pickup once a week per customer.

If you need a green bin, they are available for pickup at the city of Zachary Annex, located at 4650 Main Street. For recycling information, contact the Public Works Office at (225) 654-1902.
