“Get Down and Clean Up” Litter Campaign Now Underway in the City of Zachary

Look out; your business could be "PICKED" as a litter picker! The City of Zachary Citizen's Beautification Committee is rolling out a community-wide cleanup campaign called "Get Down & Clean Up." In conjunction with Keep Louisiana Beautiful and the East Baton Rouge Parish Library, you can now 2-step your way to keep Zachary beautiful.

The Beautification Committee "picked" Porch and Parish as the first business to "Get Down & Clean Up."  The City of Zachary checked out a litter cleanup kit at the Zachary Library, complete with vests, litter grabbers, trash bags, and instructions. While picking up litter with their co-workers, the business chosen can "Do a little Dance" and share their photos on social media at #GetDownandCleanUp and email your pictures to Sharon.phillips@cityofzachary.org.

After the cleanup, Porch and Parish will return the litter kit to the Zachary Library and nominate another business to check out the litter kit. Let's keep the 2-step campaign moving throughout Zachary and have fun dancing to a cleaner Louisiana.
