Zachary City Council Extends Date to Fill Interim Vacant Council Position

Interviews for a temporary appointment on the Zachary City Council to fill the unexpired term through the year 2022 for Zachary City Council-District 4 will be held on Thursday, February 17th, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 4700 Main Street.

District 4 is bordered on its Western side by Cypress Bayou and on its Eastern side by White’s Bayou. It includes Zachary’s West End Subdivision (The Garden District), much of the 39th Street area, Hunter’s Point Subdivision, Zachary’s Historic Village, Stoneybrook, and The Cottages at Blue Heron Lake.

Qualifications: Eighteen (18) years of age, registered voter, and must be legally domiciled and resident for at least (1) year within the district sought to be represented.

Interested persons should submit a current resume by Tuesday, February 15th, and acknowledge attendance at the meeting on February 17th.
